MEET CHEEZ-IT

1. What was your initial impression of rats before our lab last week?

My initial impression of rats was that I absolutely hated them. Especially rats with red eyes, I wasn’t a big fan. The thought of having one just freaked me out.  

 

 

2. Were you able to hold a rat last week?  

I was able to hold Cheez-It last week, I made a goal of holding her at least everyday once the lab was opened. I fell in love with her so fast, that last Thursday I went to see her three times! I think what has helped me the most is that she is on the tinier side and isn’t as hyperactive.

 

 

3. How often have you been in to hold your rat since then?

Yes! I can’t count the number of times that I have held her. I try and go everyday if I can. 

 

 

4. Has your impression of rats changed?  Why or why not?

My impression of Cheez-It the rat has changed. I still think I would freak out if I just saw one in my house. I can’t pinpoint an exact reason on why I don’t like rats, I just seem to categorize them with rodents. 

 

5. What did you decide to name your rat and why did you pick this name?

My Partner and I just said random names until we liked one. I think I liked the name because I had heard that rats like cheese it’s also just a fun name!
